Highland Hospitality

Fine dining, fine ‘craic’ - and fine spirits.

Award-winning whisky

Caithness is home to some of Scotland’s finest distilleries. Whisky lovers will not want to miss a visit to the world-famous Old Pulteney in Wick - its 21-year-old single malt was named World Whisky of the Year. Another local favourite is Wolfburn’s peaty single malt from Thurso?

Live music at ‘Eh Comm’

The Commercial Bar - known in local dialect as ‘eh comm’ - is the oldest bar in Caithness. E Comm offers a fantastic Highland night out, with traditional live music every Wednesday night and live music most weekends. It’s a lively venue where you’ll be guaranteed a warm welcome from the Thurso locals.

Puldagon - farm to fork experience

Nestled in the serene countryside, Puldagon Farm has roots stretching back to 1925. The transformation of an old barn into a vibrant restaurant and farm shop in 2019 marked the beginning of a new chapter, one that has seen Puldagon become a culinary beacon in the North.

Sinky’s Beer Garden and Grill

Experience unique, private dining on Sinky’s farm at Lochend, nestled near Thurso and the scenic North
Coast 500 route. From farm to table, each dish tells a story of tradition, quality, and above all, community. At Sinky's, every meal is a celebration of the land, the food, and the people who bring it all together.

If gin’s your thing…

We’ve got you covered. Rock Rose is perhaps our most famous gin brand, produced from the finest botanicals from Dunnet Bay Distillery. We also have Crosskirk Bay gin, with its distinctive pine aroma, and the fantastically-named Crofters’ Tears by Ice and Fire Distillery.

Go bespoke

Our tour packages are designed to bring you the best experiences the county has to offer, but they are not set in stone!
