As we travel towards the east coast of the county we stop at Camster Cairns to visit the Neolithic chambered tombs which are considered to be one of the best preserved in the UK.

Whaligoe Steps is a steep descent down 330 steps (optional) to a quaint old haven which was used at the peak of the herring fishing era.

At the foot of Lybster village lies one the most beautiful harbours in Caithness. This is a working port where colourful boats land their catch, waves crash across the cliffs and towards the shore, a photographers paradise.
